Working in remote locations can be a communications and data processing nightmare. Mobile phones are fine for general communication and 3G datacards can give individual users Internet access, but the luxury of an all-encompassing office-style network with access to facilities such as printers, centrally-held mass storage and fax machines has proven difficult, if not impossible, up to now.

Incorporating a landline telephone/fax socket and three network ports, Project Services’ ISONET Isolated Network system runs from any 12V power supply to give up to 25 users near broadband speed office connectivity whether they are Portakabin bound, on a bus, in a field, up a mountain – anywhere a 3G or GSM mobile telephone signal is attainable.

Assembled to suit your specific project requirements, the ISONET Isolated Network is a quick and cost-effective way of making sure you stay in touch, wherever you and your team choose to set up shop.

Key features and benefits:

  • Consultation process ensures project-specific solutions
  • Three network ports allow for addition of, for example, Wide Area Transmitters, GPS devices, cameras (for live video streaming from one site to another) – the list goes on
  • Incorporates a landline telephone/fax socket with a geographical STD code number, using a combination of 3G/GSM mobile phone and Voice over Internet Protocol
  • Runs from any 12V power supply
  • Uses universal mains adaptor 110–240V (complete with fittings for most countries)
  • Analogue telephone line allows you to open accounts for any geographical number and use of fax machines
  • Provides wireless network and broadband behind Industry Standard 128-bit WEP data encryption
  • All broadband and network connections are firewalled for security
  • 3x normal network (RJ45) connections enable computers/printers to connect via network cable
  • 1x broadband networked input, which allows users to connect to an on-site host network while remaining firewalled

Cost:

  • Parts <£300.
  • Assemblage costs < 1 day.
  • Running cost: £25pcm for less than 3GB of data per month. £1.50 per 1MB thereafter.
