Building ‘envelope’ consultancy and testing

RSK subsidiary Building Sciences was one of the first in the UK to offer the construction industry – from designers and contractors to end-users – consultancy and testing advice related to the building fabric performance of heat, air, moisture and acoustics.

As the most pre-eminent company in its field, it has built up a client list that reads like a who’s who of UK developers and contractors, including major names such as British Land, Asda, HBG Construction and Bovis Lend Lease.

Building materials consultancy (STATS)

RSK Group subsidiary STATS provides specialist building material consultancy aimed at avoiding problems in new and existing buildings.

STATS is at the forefront of adopting new on-site and remote sensing survey techniques for quarry evaluation and for building surveys, including the ability to deploy materials experts on projects requiring roped access and using non-destructive techniques such as radar and thermal imaging.

Its roster of highly qualified consultants comprises scientists, engineers and specialist building surveyors with specialist areas of knowledge and expert witness experience.

All relevant materials consulting projects benefit from the company’s in-house, UKAS accredited laboratory testing service.
