RSK gains major accreditation for asbestos training

RSK Environment Health & Safety has been chosen as one of only three companies to deliver a British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) endorsed asbestos management awareness course.

According to the BOHS, interest in the delivering the 'badged-course', arguably the most credible and in-depth of its kind, was such that the trainer selection process was delayed by months.

Following the introduction of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, it is now mandatory for all workers liable to disturb asbestos as well as those supervising or influencing such activities to undergo asbestos awareness training.

It is thought that RSK’s history of delivering highly regarded health, safety and environmental training courses, as well as its all-encompassing UKAS-accredited asbestos service – from survey to project managing removal works – was key to its successful selection.

The BOHS commented:

“[this course] aims to benefit both BOHS in raising our profile and course providers in providing additional credibility and reassurance by association with BOHS as a recognised and leading institution in the field of occupational hygiene”.

RSK is hosting a series of public trainining courses during the coming months in Glasgow, Hemel Hempstead (24 April, 9 May, 9 July) and Manchester (8 April, 19 June, 22 October), and we would be delighted to count you as a delegate. (21 May, 18 September)

If client numbers are sufficient, RSK can also deliver the course in-house.
