Ruth Allen, chairman
Ruth is a specialist in the provision of management and technical consultancy to the regulated utilities. Her key consulting skills include organisation and performance management, business and cultural transformation and strategy development. A chartered civil engineer, she was previously strategy and business development director at Mouchel Parkman, chief executive of Ewan Group plc, director of Flask Group and managing director of Flask Consulting, director of Networks at WRc plc and senior partner of WRc Consulting. Prior to that, she held a number of different roles with Severn Trent Water plc. In 2001, Ruth became the first female national chairman of the Pipeline Industries Guild in its 50-year history. She is currently the international chairman and is about to enter her third year in this post. In addition, having undertaken consultancy studies for all major UK water utilities, Ruth has advised investment banks and bidding consortia on asset management and utilisation in private sector water company concession development.

Andrew Gunning, managing director
Andrew is a chartered engineer with considerable experience in the water sector. Up until April 2008, he was a business unit director with Mouchel plc, managing 235 staff working in the water industry across five business units in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. From 1998 to 2006, he was an executive director of leading water industry consultancy Ewan Group plc, where he was instrumental in its rapid growth from a £2m business to one worth £18m in just five years prior to its acquisition by Mouchel in 2006. From 1997 to 1998, as managing director of Transmission Winch Systems Limited, he developed an innovative technical design to allow rapid data transfer using fibre optics in harsh environments. Andrew’s water-related project experience spans several European countries, the Far East and southern Africa.

Analette May, director
Analette has over 12 years' consultancy experience within UK and South African environmental, water and civil engineering sectors. She has considerable experience in the contract and programme management of multidisciplinary teams within the aforementioned sectors on behalf of utility companies, public sector companies and local authorities. She has an excellent understanding of quality assurance and health and safety issues, and a recognised ability to define work programmes accurately (including the technical, financial and management control of projects from inception to handover). She also has extensive experience of health and safety management. Analette joined RSK Water from Mouchel Group, where she was a divisional manager for the Water Environment division, providing environmental consultancy throughout the UK. The WE team’s projects included hydrology and hydrogeological assessments, hydrometry, long-term monitoring (surface and groundwater flow monitoring), water quality studies, hydroecology, instrumentation network design and installations.
