Building acoustics consultancy and testing
RSK's building sciences team offers consultancy to enhance the acoustic performance of your building and testing to prove its compliance with Approved Document E of the Building Regulations (England & Wales, 2004), BS EN ISO 140-4:1998 and 140-7:1998 and the Code for Sustainable Homes (2009). Our calculations are in line with the guidance given in BB93 for partition walls and floors in education buildings and aim to generate design advice on the requirements for sound insulation.
We also provide noise surveys and consultancy for BS8233 and BS4142 for mixed commercial and residential projects. For refurbishment projects, we can test the existing structure to determine the level of sound insulation before work starts to facilitate targeted upgrading.
All our test equipment is fully calibrated and our test engineers are trained in accordance with the current technical standards. Out testing systems and procedures are UKAS accredited.
