Site investigation and quantitative risk assessment

Protecting human health and the environment is the driving force behind the regulatory requirements of most European contaminated land legislation. Consequently, for the successful redevelopment of a brownfield site, you must ensure that all the appropriate site investigations and assessments, both generic and quantitative, are undertaken to the required standards.

RSK can help. It is at the vanguard of site investigation and has had its procedures for land acquisition and development adopted by the National House-Building Council. We are also actively involved in collaborative research in this area.

We employ more Specialists in Land Condition certified staff than any other consultancy and our human health risk assessments use state-of-the-art sampling and analysis methods. Our risk assessment professionals include geoscientists, toxicologists, hydrogeologists and environmental chemists who are well versed in the full range of contaminants found in contaminated land and water.
