As its name suggests, the day was both tough and mud-drenched as Zoe’s team of 13 successfully navigated a variety of muddy obstacles. From the Blockness Monster, which involved navigating over two revolving triangular blocks, to the Pyramid Scheme that tested their teamwork skills, it was a challenging but rewarding day that pushed the team to their limits.
Zoe’s favourite challenge, the mud-mile, involved climbing over six mud mountains before plunging into deep muddy water. Despite a few falls into the cold water and having to climb on one another’s shoulders, the team proved that 13 is not unlucky for some, as they successfully worked together to ensure that everyone got through the tasks safely.
A lot of ups and downs: Helping each other over the obstacles
“We had a lot of laughs along the way,” Zoe comments. “It was a great day and the shoe prints on our shoulders are only just fading!”
Zoe enjoying the mud!
With the help of family, friends and colleagues, Zoe exceeded her £1000 target, which will be donated to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research UK.
Zoe has already booked to take part in the full-length Tough Mudder course in 2018, which will involve double the amount of obstacles!
