Georgie, who is based in RSK’s Hemel Hempstead office, applied to take part after contributing to a similar video to promote her university course. She is currently a student member of The Landscape Institute and is in the process of applying to become a licentiate member. To be selected, Georgie produced a short video to introduce herself and her experience, and completed a written application. Judges told Georgie “Your passion for the profession is wonderful and we thought you would be a great champion for the management side of the profession.”
The Landscape Institute will create ten one-minute ‘talking heads’ clips each focusing on one of the professionals and their passions. Five of the specialists, including Georgie, will partake in a central video that outlines the institute’s key messages. Georgie will also demonstrate some of the projects the landscape team are working on and promote the great work RSK does as a company.
RSK principal landscape manager Jenny Esdon comments, “We are delighted and proud to have Georgie as part of EPD’s landscape team. Her hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to the landscape profession are an inspiration to other young people starting their career in landscape management and design. With RSK’s commitment to supporting her professional development, we look forward to mentoring Georgie on her pathway to become a fully fledged Chartered member of the Landscape Institute.” Jenny is also an examiner for the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership.
