The session began with a presentation by the office’s safety team that gave good safety tips for increasing driver risk awareness. An open discussion reminding staff of the risks associated with fatigue and distracted driving followed, which proved valuable and eye-opening for all.
“You may already have the knowledge but it was really good to highlight the risks and increase awareness,” commented Dave Peters, an RSK fieldworker. “It was useful that this meeting took place. The information we received was very clear and was supported by short videos”, added colleague Brian Nahumury.
The session was a success and an important reminder about safety awareness across all the office’s driving operations, which will be important as the team moves into the last quarter of the year.
Now fully up to speed, the team has already put their increased knowledge and awareness into practice and will continue to promote a safe driving culture across all business operations. It is hoped that this increased driver awareness will be reflected across the company and help to be a lasting legacy for Safety Fortnight.
