RSK principal geoenvironmental scientist Helen McMillan, of the Glasgow office, and Sarah Rummens, sales director for Envirolab, both featured on the day’s expert speaker agenda.
Helen presented on ‘Managing uncertainty in groundwater risk assessment though good data management’, while Sarah impressed with her talk on ‘Best practice techniques for the transport, handling and preservation of your soil and water samples to preserve sample integrity and minimise deviation’.
“I’ve long been an attendee at the Brownfield Briefing Scottish conferences and have always enjoyed them,” commented Helen. “It’s a great forum to find out about the latest developments in contaminated land practices and to catch up with clients and fellow contaminated land professionals representing all sectors of the industry, for example, consultancies, remediation contractors and laboratories. It was a privilege to be able to present at the conference this year.”
“It was great to have a presence at the conference. We have had a few enquiries since the day, which is fantastic, as Envirolab’s aim is to grow our presence and increase sales in Scotland,” added Sarah.
