The low-carbon products and services sector is a vital component of the UK’s economy. In Poland, the low-carbon economy is beginning to develop, so the seminar aimed to promote ongoing research and development projects and to look for collaboration opportunities between British and Polish partners. It was part of the ‘Innovation is GREAT’ campaign, which promotes UK state-of-art solutions and focuses on bringing together British and Polish entrepreneurs and researchers.
The first part of the seminar focused on the outcomes of the EU Life+ funded project ACUMEN: assessing, capturing and utilising methane from expired and non-operational landfills. The second part was dedicated to a low-carbon approach in various sectors: water and waste-water management; sludge treatment; environmental monitoring; and transport, both mass transport within cities and long-distance air transport.
RSK has two offices in Poland, in Warsaw and Wroclaw. For details of our service offerings, including the low-carbon sector, in Poland, please contact Tim Coutts.
