The campaign video sees Georgie provide an insight into a career as a landscape manager and explain her reasons for choosing a career in landscape.
“I write the rules to protect woodlands and protected landscapes, ensuring that species and biodiversity thrive,” Georgie says in the video. “I have always loved spending time outside, and I thought that the landscape profession would be a perfect mix of being in the natural environment and being able to work with people. So, if you like being outdoors, the landscape profession is probably perfect for you.”
“My number one piece of advice is just to be bold,” says Georgie. “You never know what’s out there and what profession may suit you. I was lucky enough to get some work experience on a placement year with RSK, and that’s just because I sent out a CV, so you never know what’s going to happen.”
Georgie was invited to the Landscape Institute’s Presidents’ Reception in London, UK, on 4 July to see the new campaign announced. It was officially launched across the new #ChooseLandscape website and social media platforms on 5 July.
