When acquiring new companies, we maintain a flexible policy as to whether our new acquisition retains its branding or adopts RSK’s branding in full. ADAS exists to provide ideas, specialist knowledge and solutions to secure food production and enhance the environment. ADAS is the UK’s largest independent provider of agricultural and environmental consultancy, rural development services, research and development and policy advice. The acquisition of ADAS in 2016 provided RSK with a wide range of new services in agriculture and horticulture as well as greater depth in environmental consultancy.
Cole Jarman is one of the top acoustic consultancy specialists in the UK and has been carrying out acoustic, noise and vibration assessments on projects of all types since 1993. Its acquisition of Cole Jarman in 2017 added to RSK’s acoustic capability by providing a wider range of skills and experience, including expertise in noise and vibration assessments as part of the environmental assessment process contributing to environmental statements.
RSKW provides management and technical consultancy solutions to the utilities, energy, transport and industrial sectors. Its services include specialist advice, project management, project delivery, field services, research and development, and business improvement consultancy. After 10 years of owning a minority stake in RSKW, we merged on a 100% basis in 2018.
Acies has a great track record of innovation in civil and structural engineering, and many years of experience of new-build, conversion and refurbishment projects spanning the commercial, sport and leisure, retail, education, industrial and residential sectors. This acquisition in 2017 bolstered our wide range of civil and structural engineering services alongside other RSK family members such as land and development engineering, and CWA.
KMG provides industrial architecture and structural engineering design services while also offering some civil engineering services. The company’s acquisition expanded RSK’s services in architecture and engineering, particularly in online retail warehousing, temperature-controlled storage and distribution, and data management centres.
CWA provides a spectrum of civil and structural engineering services for projects ranging from multimillion-pound developments to the niche engineering required to complement bespoke architectural designs. It has worked on a wide range of building projects across the UK, including schools, colleges, police and fire stations, health and care centres, and hotel, retail and leisure facilities.
Ian Farmer Associates offers a complete range of geotechnical and environmental investigation techniques and services alongside providing specialist services from materials technologists and on-site chemists, with associated testing and monitoring services. Since joining RSK in 2017, the company has bolstered our considerable offering of ground investigation services alongside earlier acquisitions such as Structural Soils and Dynamic Sampling.
Up and Under Group provides inspections, surveys and repair and maintenance services to a broad range of clients. The group undertakes works on structures ranging from major UK national landmarks to minor roads, including highway bridges over the River Thames in Central London and the inspection and investigation of the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank. In addition to using conventional access techniques, Up and Under Group also provides specialist services in rope access and confined spaces.
Non Destructive Testing Services (NDT) has a wealth of experience and specialises in pile integrity testing, static pile maintained load testing and dynamic load testing. In 2007, RSK acquired Structural Soils, which provided the group with its first ground investigation services. Cambridge Environmental Assessments (CEA) provides strategic and dossier support for chemical and product registrations across Europe encompassing agrochemicals, biocides, veterinary and human pharmaceuticals, food additives, novel foods and general chemicals. CEA specialises in designing and conducting higher tier studies and regulatory environmental risk assessments for chemicals, toxicology and REACH compliance.
