RSK’s geosciences team has been assisting Taylor Wimpey with the Olympic legacy work since 2012: originally due diligence input and later working on the ongoing remediation aspects of the project, including delivering an intrusive ground investigation across the site.
Six RSK departments are working under the coordination of an environmental manager to deliver environmental plans that cover ecology, waste, water, transport, pollution control and environmental management. The teams are currently developing the zonal environmental plans that will ensure high standards of environmental performance on-site during construction.
RSK environmental planning and development south-east team leader, Pete Whipp, comments, “This is one of several environmental management contracts that RSK is currently working on in central London. We are helping more and more clients through the post-planning stages of development.”
