Megan, who studies agribusiness at Harper Adams University, UK, is one of four finalists in the category. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 17 October.
“Megan is enthusiastic about UK farming and always willing to go the extra mile. We’re very proud of her,” commented ADAS business management consultant Stephen Watson. “Megan was a great asset to the ADAS business in her year with us and she fully deserves this nomination. We wish her well in her final year at Harper Adams and hopefully look forward to her returning to work for us on completion of her studies.”
Now entering their seventh year, the British Farming Awards have become a nationally recognised event that has celebrated, showcased and rewarded hundreds of farmers doing fantastic work across the sector.
Organised by AgriBriefing and supported by Morrisons, there are 14 categories. Alongside farming’s core sectors (dairy, beef, sheep, arable and machinery) there is also a celebration of talented youngsters coming into the industry and a reminder of the contribution rural businesses are making to the UK’s tourism, textile, wedding, retail and wildlife sectors.
Good luck Megan!
