Grassmoor has been an excellent example of RSK’s one-stop shop capabilities, with nearly all parts of the business being involved. The RSK noise, geosciences, carbon, environment and planning, and communication services teams, and RSK companies Envirolab, Envirolabair, Structural Soils and Argus have all supported RemedX at some stage.
Although the sludge treatment work is complete, there are still several outstanding tasks, including the final landforming and valley construction, earthworks and landscaping, which will be undertaken during the drier months. This will ensure that the area can ultimately be opened up to the public as an integral part of the wider country park.
RemedX site manager, Malcolm Lyle, comments, “Throughout the project, there have been a few obstacles and challenges to overcome but that is what keeps it interesting.”
RemedX was supported by local earthworks contractor Fitzwise, which carried out the earthmoving.
