Energy consumption and emission reviews: United States Air Force

RSK carried out on-site audits, staff interviews and measurements of collated energy use and resulting emissions to air, including carbon dioxide associated with the operation of the Lakenheath airbase in the UK and Lajes Field airbase in the Azores. The reports were prepared on behalf of the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment to meet US government reporting requirements and included recommendations for energy use and emission reductions. The scope of the assessments included all operational buildings and duty and back-up power generation systems at the airfields, but excluded energy consumption directly associated with aircraft.
