Hapton A, landscape maintenance works

Synthomer plc (then Yule Catto plc) commissioned RSK to provide landscape design and contract supervision services associated with the restoration of an area of contaminated land at the former William Blythe chemical works at Hapton, west of Burnley, UK.

The initial stage inputs involved preparing concept landscape proposals developed in parallel with the engineering design, which formed the basis of agreement on the restoration principles with the local planning authority. The concept layout was then developed into a detailed landscape design, maintenance and management plan to fulfil the formal requirements of the planning application.
