The Camelot Theme Park site lies immediately west of the M6 motorway and to the rear of the Charnock Richard services. It has a total area of 51.72 ha and includes hardstanding, buildings and roadways currently occupying 117,535 m2.
The topography is such that the site is bisected by a minor watercourse partially fed by a large lake feature located in the eastern part of the site. The watercourse flows west through the site and picks up several outfalls from the site drainage network. The watercourse is some 10–12 m lower in elevation than Park Hall Road. RSK’s land and development engineering team advised the client on flood risk and drainage issues relating to potential land disposal
