In 2006, RSK was commissioned to develop a cost-efficient strategy to remediate an industrial site located in Belgium. Since 1960, the location had been subjected to a range of environmental impacts stemming from metal parts manufacturing for the automotive industry.
RSK applied a combination of traditional and innovative techniques to remediate the site. EU funding via the LIFE+ framework was obtained for the innovative approach to remediating the plume area.
