Over the past 20 years, there has been much focus on developing nondestructive methods for assessing the performance of building fabric, including air permeability, infrared thermography and acoustic sound insulation testing. RSK has been at the forefront of this movement and, while undertaking testing work, has developed a range of design consultancy services to help its clients to achieve the required performance standards. The building design seminar will provide an overview of the building fabric issues to consider; the implications of not getting things right (failure and litigation); when and how they should be considered for maximum effect; and the integrated service RSK can provide to help inform the process.
Aimed at architects, engineering designers, design managers, construction managers, estimators and cost managers, together with property developers and owners, the free CPD seminar counts for one and a half hours of continuing professional development time, and delegates will receive personalised certificates after the seminar for the CPD training.
Featuring RSK speakers Stuart Borland and Simon Lloyd of RSK’s building sciences team, and guest speaker Aleksandra (Sasha) Njagulj, head of sustainability and innovation at Bouygues UK, the free building industry seminar promises to be both interesting and informative.
