Site investigation at a historical building site

RSK was contracted to complete geoenvironmental and geotechnical site assessments of land adjacent to a significant historical building. The area was proposed for redevelopment into a new visitor’s centre, an exhibition hall and cafe facilities to be constructed as an extension on the existing building walls. Investigation was also required of an underground water tank that had been installed in the 1940s to supply the building with water in the event of a fire during the war.
