Seven offices got involved, with the main event being a Diversity Day lunch. Employees brought in food and drink contributions representative of their nationality, culture, place of birth, etc., or local dishes reflecting their office location. All the contributions then formed a buffet-style lunch for the office to share. Contributions included Scottish haggis, American macaroni cheese, Welsh bara brith, Persian kashk-o-bademjan, Australian Tim Tam biscuits, Spanish empanadas, German sauerkraut, Egyptian ful medames and Turkish delight.
Staff were also invited to wear traditional dress and to bring in objects that reflected their culture. Some offices held a Diversity Day quiz.
The event was a huge success across the company.
