Sue told IPLOCA, “Having worked in the energy sector for 30 years, I have seen the pipeline industry develop from being an almost exclusively male arena into a more accepting but still predominantly male-dominated workplace. There is much more that can be done to help women benefit from an exciting career in our industry and, equally, to enable our industry to benefit from having a stronger female presence.”
In the article, Sue discusses how to make a career in the pipeline industry appealing to women and proposes an “Exciting careers in IPLOCA” members group to help secure a more diverse future for the industry. The group would be open to all, male and female, to address how to get more women and diversity into pipelines.
