Structural Soils has been shortlisted a remarkable four categories: Award for Equipment Innovation, Health and Safety Award, Ground Investigation Project (for the Wylfa Newydd south site) and Ground Investigation Specialist of the Year.
The fifth finalist’s place goes to RSK for Geoenvironmental Project of the Year for work at a former polishing and plating site in Letchworth.
Ground Engineering comments, “Since entries closed, the first round of judging has taken place and resulted in what can only be described as an impressive list of finalists for 2017’s Ground Engineering Awards. This year, saw a record number of companies entering. “The entries to the GE Awards never cease to amaze me in terms of the innovation and challenges successfully overcome by the UK's geotechnical sector – and this year is no exception,” Ground Engineering editor Claire Smith adds. “The number and quality of entries this year means that just getting onto the shortlist is a real achievement in itself.
“I am looking forward to seeing how these entries are presented at the live judging stage and then announcing them on the evening of the awards in July.”
